During the final semester of my Bachelor's in Computer Science, I was part of a three member team that was asked to design a website for my college for the objective of storing academic multi-media content that could be made accessible to students, teachers alike.

The Knowledge Bank was designed to store knowledge reserves of various academic disciplines and sub-disciplines ex. Big Data in Computer Science. These Knowledge Reserves, primarily known as media types, are; Research Papers, Books, Articles, Survey Reports, Radio, Multi-Media Presentations, Seminars, PowerPoint Presentations and Dissertations.

Features:

  • We designed an interactive content-management system to store links to various academic reserves.

  • We created a back-end access for administrators to upload links and articles to the website.

  • We used PostgresSQL and XML technologies for data storage.

  • We designed a responsive UI using Bootstrap.

  • The server-side scripting was done using PHP.
